《The Eyes on Main Street Festival》 은 오는 2021년 10월에 열리는 전주국제사진축제에 7번째 에디션 사진 20여 장을 전시한 것을 자랑스럽게 생각합니다.
이 행사는《Eyes on Main Street》의 7번째 에디션의 새로운 이미지를 발견할 수 있는 첫 번째 기회가 될 것입니다.
《Eyes on Main Street》는 올해로 3년째 전주사진축제와 활발한 협업이 이루어지고 있습니다. 우리는 2022년, 코비드19 대유행을 지나 워크숍과 강연회 등 훨씬 더 큰 프로그램을 전주 시민들에게 제공할 수 있기를 바랍니다. 시너지를 쌓고 협력함으로써 두 축제 모두 훨씬 더 많은 대중들에게 다가가고 전 세계에 고품질의 사진을 보여드릴 것입니다.
언젠가는 전주의 거리에서 100여 장의 대형 사진전을 열 수 있지 않을까요?
NC 윌슨 시내에서 2021년 10월 30일에 개막하는 '윌슨 야외 사진 페스티벌'은 9개 블록에 걸쳐 100여 장의 사진이 100곳의 가게 앞 유리창과 건물 위에 전시됩니다.
반즈 스트리트는 우리의 새로운 "메인 스트리트"가 될 것이며, 활기찬 대규모 사진 갤러리로 탈바꿈할 것입니다. 제롬 드 펄링히, 가다 알라위, 캐롤 존슨이 기획한 야외 전시회는 32개국에서 온 100명의 사진작가들의 작품을 전시합니다. 올해의 에디션 에는 스티븐 쇼어, 매기 스테버, 크리스티안 밥스트, 그리셀다 산 마틴, 브루스 길든, 루아 리베이라, 베니 발슨, 카렌 카스무스키, 세바스띠앙 살가도와 베티 프레스 등이 참여했습니다.
한국의 전주나 미국의 윌슨에서와 같은 작은 축제들은 사진 예술계에서 매우 중요한 역할을 합니다. 첫째, 가족 모임처럼 접근성이 매우 높고, 모든 사람에게 열려있는 행사입니다.
하지만 그것은 또한 젊고 떠오르는 예술가들에게 그들의 작품을 공유하고 성장할 기회를 줍니다. 우리는 사진작가들이 최고의 목소리를 낼 수 있도록 지원하고 홍보합니다.
우리의 임무는 사진이 사랑받고 소중히 여겨지는 공간을 만드는 것이며, 우리의 초대형 사진 디스플레이는 예술과 문화의 매개체로서의 사진의 중요성을 보여줄 것입니다.

The Eyes on Main Street Festival proud to display a selection of 20 photographs from the 7th edition at the Jeonju International Photography Festival this coming October 2021.
This will be your first chance to discover a selection of the new images of the 7th edition of Eyes on Main Street. This is the third year Eyes on Main Street has this vibrant collaboration with the Jeonju Photography Festival. We hope that in 2022, past the Covid pandemic, we can offer to the citizens of Jeonju a much larger program, including workshops and lectures. By building synergies and working together, both festivals reach a much larger public and promote quality photography across the world. Maybe one day, we can bring the full 100 large-scale photographs exhibition to the streets of Jeonju in South Korea?
The Wilson Outdoor Photo Festival opens on October 30, 2021 in historic downtown Wilson, NC. As always, 100 photographs will be displayed on 100 storefront windows and buildings, spanning nine city blocks. Barnes Street will become our new “Main Street” and will be transformed into a vibrant gallery of large-scale photographs. The outdoor exhibition, curated by Jerome De Perlinghi, Ghadah Alrawi and Carol Johnson, features the work of 100 photographers from 32 countries. Among the artists included in this years' edition are: Stephen Shore, Maggie Steber, Christian Bobst, Griselda San Martin, Bruce Gilden, Lua Ribeira, Benni Valson, Karen Kasmauski, Sebastião Salgado and Betty Press.
Smaller Festivals like in Jeonju, South Korea or Wilson, USA play a very important role in the Photographic Art world. First, these are very accessible, like family gatherings, these events are very welcoming and open to all. But they also give a chance to young and upcoming artists to share their work and grow. We support and promote photographers to give them the best possible voice. Our missions are to create spaces where photography is loved and cherished, our very large photographic display will show you the importance of photography as a medium of art and culture.
