About the Festival

For the eight year, Eyes on Main Street is transforming our Historic Downtown intoa gigantic outdoor photography gallery. 100 large-scale photographs by 100international photographers will be on display for 150 days.  The transforming landscape of Historic Downtown Wilson allows EOMS the opportunity to exhibit the Festival on Barnes Street, Lodge Street and Nash Street from the train station eastwards, bringing ever-larger photographs to the walls and windows of our beautiful city. These breathtaking images will reach over a full kilometer throughout Downtown Wilson. This is how Eyes on Main Street brings photography to the large number of visitors from around the world. When the photograph in front of you is 450 cm wide, you have a different experience of the medium. By walking around our exhibition, you understand the world in a different fashion as you develop an eye for details that you would never see, not even on a regular print. That is the joy of putting up these gigantic posters all over.

After twodifficult years for the arts in general, EOMS has resumed its very popularResidency Program and its Youth program, run by Peter Fitzpatrick, EducationDirector for EOMS. You will not find better youth photographers anywhere in thecountry.

The 8th edition will be waiting for you, including 20 images part the JeonjuPhotography Festival, until one day we can show all 100 large scale photos inSouth Korea as well.

8년 동안, Eyes on Main Street는 우리의 역사적으로 중요한 번화가를 거대한야외 사진 갤러리로변화시키고 있습니다. 국제 사진작가 100명의 대형 사진 100점이 150일간 전시됩니다. 윌슨(노스캐롤라이나의 도시)의 변화무쌍한 풍경은 EOMS가 기차역에서 동쪽으로반즈 스트리트, 로지 스트리트, 내쉬 스트리트에서 축제를전시할 수 있는기회를 허용하며, 우리의 아름다운도시의 벽과 창문에더 큰 사진을가져다 줍니다. 이 숨막히는이미지들은 윌슨 시내 전역에 걸쳐 1킬로미터가 넘을 것 입니다. 이것이 아이즈 온메인 스트리트(Eyes on Main Street)가 전세계의 많은방문객들에게 사진을 가져다주는방법입니다. 눈앞의 사진이 450cm 너비가 되면 매체에대한 색다른 경험을하게 됩니다. 우리의 전시회를 거닐면서, 여러분은 세상을 다른방식으로 이해하게 될 것 입니다. 여러분이 절대 볼 수없는, 심지어 일반 인쇄물에서도볼 수 없는세부적인 사항들에대한 안목을 키우게될 것 입니다. 그것이 이 거대한포스터들을 곳곳에붙이는 즐거움입니다.

예술에 있어서 2년이라는 힘든시간을 보낸 후, EOMS는 EOMS의 교육 책임자인 Peter Fitzpatrick에의해 운영되는 매우인기 있는 레지던시프로그램과 청소년 프로그램을재개했습니다. 여러분은 전국 어디에서도더 나은 청소년사진작가를 찾을 수없을 것입니다.

EOMS의 8번째 에디션은 전주 사진페스티벌에서의 이미지 20장을 포함하여 한국에서 100장의 대형 사진을모두 보여줄 수있는 날이 올때까지 여러분을 기다리고 있을 것입니다.
